Dal 16 marzo e fino al 30 sono state istituite dal presidente della Regione, Nello Musumeci, due nuove zone rosse in Sicilia. Si tratta di Caltanissetta e Palma di Montechiaro (AG). Il provvedimento, che prevede anche la chiusura delle scuole, è stato richiesto dai sindaci dei due comuni e si è reso necessario “a causa di un repentino aumento dei contagi registrati negli ultimi giorni e certificato dalle rispettive Asp”.
